G is for Good

So,  I talked about Destruction for D, but are you making sure that good things happen to your characters, too? When was the last time when they got a day off, or got something they really wanted?

I think that, though characters (like people) need to suffer, they also need to be blessed--because, hey, who's going to want to read about someone who only has near death experiences?

What's your MC's happy moment?

  1. I primarily write memoir, life stories, poetry and such.

My happy moments are many, but as far as writing goes... my happy moment includes finding the just right turn of phrase & humming happily along for hours at the keyboard... word after word making themselves known to me.

Glad to visit from A to Z Challenge. We are both on Team Tina!

  2. I agree. I love writing my characters into corners, making then suffer in order to change. But my favorite part is giving them big rewards. Which, for me, usually means lots of kissing. :)

Thanks for the post. Just hopping by on A-Z. Keep up the great work.

  3. Thanks!

Ophelia~hahaha, me too! Kissing is, after all, such a wonderful (not to mention realistic) reward. ;)
